Reviews
I found this place by driving to go to the Market Street to get few grocery things. It is an all you can eat buffet type place that serves mainly Japanese food. It was nice to see that they had some sashimi options at the buffet since most times when you go to this type of place people leave the rice and eat all the seafood used to make sushi. Nice variety of cooked seafood as well, the shrimp tempura was very good, very light batter and there are three types of soups made to order available as well. The warm food area offers lamb chops and Korean ribs, snow crab legs, cocktail shrimp and many other items. The place is clean and every time I went to get more food my table was clean and ide tea refilled. The quality of the fish is OK, I am a sashimi connoisseur, so I have high expectations. The price for dinner $40 per person, not a bad deal for what they are offering. At the end of the meal they offer dessert since it is included in the price. Haven't tried any but based on other Yelp reviews the green tea ice cream is very good. Also they offer a "hot pot" type service at the table were they bring a hot pot and you can cook seafood and vegetables at the table which makes for a nice conversation with friends or some quality time with your family.
So cliche to say but...how have I not left a review for this place?! This is my favorite sushi buffet restaurant in DFW. I was a long time patron of its sister restaurant but once I discovered Osaka, I can't go back. Never had a bad dining experience here. The servers are usually very welcoming and accommodating. There are plenty of seating ranging from big round or long tables to booths and four tops. Great place for large groups or a date night spot. My family enjoys coming here for special occasions. There's something for everyone, even those who don't like sushi, which is great since it's $35 for dinner. I can go into details about the food but honestly it can get long. I love everything here. Fresh sashimi, nice variety of sushi rolls, made to order noodle soup bar, glorious mound of snow crab legs, cold salads and veggie sides, fresh fruits and dainty little cakes presented in uniform squares to my OCD delight. On the dessert note, don't forget the oreo pie, mango panna cotta, and creme brulee! Then there's your hot foods. Lamb chops, grilled salmon and basa, SHRIMP fried rice, dungeness crab, short ribs, gyoza, teriyaki chicken, shrimp tempura and veggies, and red bean sesame balls, This last visit was just as great as the others. I came back with some crab legs and asked our waiter to steam it. He happily brought it to the kitchen and came out with shell crackers, wet-naps, and paper towels. Love the attention to details. I was happy to find that they have chicken curry again. It's not the same as before but was still good. On a previous visit, the manager was walking around asking everyone how their dinner was. I mentioned to him how I miss their chicken curry which they no longer had on the buffet. He asked me if I would like for him to ask the kitchen staff to make me a batch. I politely declined as I was at the end of my meal but I appreciated the gesture. To the people comparing Osaka to a Chinese buffet. Thanks for the laugh! Nothing against Chinese buffets, I love them, but you can't compare Osaka to one. Highly recommend and definitely a strong suggestion for a place to take out of town guests for dinner.
This is an upscale Japanese buffet restaurant and our go-to place whenever my husband and I visit Plano. I absolutely love this restaurant! Their soups, cold salads and sushi is absolutely fantastic! My husband is a great fan of their Sashimi. They serve oyesters in juicy hot and sweet sauce in the cold salad section and it's delicious and super fresh! I also love their tempura and fried chicken dumplings. Their oreo dessert is a classic! Everything they serve is delicious! I love this place!
I love this place. It has a lot of variety of all you can eat sushi and sashimi. It also has hot pot all you can eat on request. They also serve lamb and crab legs. Price is high, but for the quality of the food, worth it. If I was to visit this place again, it would be on a special occasion due to its price.
With this blazing hot summer, I craved sushi to fulfill my void of hunger! Took a drive to tokyo one and noticed the new banner has osaka sushi . I decided to try it out since I did drive 45min! Upon entering, I was advised that everything is the same, the restaurant just had a name change. The service and food was great! Sushi and sashimi was fresh.
